Jumping in at the Deep End

What better way to prove the effectiveness of a product than to demonstrate it on one’s own site!

To that end I created this brand new web page on 26 July 2010 on the Axandra Blog: SEO Software, chose ‘SEO Software’ as my keywords I want to rank high for, as well as choosing the local Google.co.za search engine for comparison.

Then, using the IBP Keywords Manager got the Google Trends results for my chosen keywords ‘SEO Software‘. I did this to ensure that there is a sufficient search volume for the chosen keywords to ensure that results are scientific enough to prove or disprove the effectiveness of IBP.

At the time of checking Google Trends South Africa was ranked number four in the volume list for my chosen keywords.

Then I ran the IBP Top 10 Optimisation Report.

To run the report you:

  1. Choose the keywords you want your site to rank high for
  2. Choose the page on your site that you want to rank high for those keywords
  3. Choose the Search Engine you want to rank high for

Essentially what this report does is:

  1. Goes to the search engine
  2. Gets the Top 10 results for your chosen search term
  3. Visits each web site and analyses each of the Top 10 web sites
  4. Analyses your chosen page
  5. Makes recommendations for improvement.

The report results can be saved as a Web Page, PDF, Plain Text or Word Document.
